Valspar has announced today significant price increases in Mirror Coatings in most of the product lines and all the regions.
“After many years of prices erosion not fully compensated by productivity and after a period where raw material inflation has continued to hit the industry, margins have slowly eroded to a point where we need to pass on some pricing to our customers. We definitely believe that the value that our Mirror Coatings supply to the mirror manufacturers is no longer represented by the current market prices” commented Michael Seidler, Global Mirror Coatings Business Director for Valspar.
Valspar has announced that it will start communication and discussion with the customers in early December 2013 to have new prices effectively in place on January 1st 2014.
